Jason Long is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee.  He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he received his B.A. in political science and came home to the University of Tennessee College of Law where he received his J.D. in 1996.

He has practiced in Knoxville for 20 years and has remained active in both the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations.  He currently serves as Past President of the Tennessee Bar Association, the largest professional organization in the state with over 13,000 members.  He is additionally active with the American Bar Association, serving as a member of the ABA House of Delegates and passing on important policy issues for that organization of relevance to attorneys and our system of justice.  Mr. Long speaks frequently both on topics of substantive law and the changing nature of the legal marketplace.

He is married to Carol Anne Long and has two children:  James Robert (11) and Janie (7).  He is a vestry member for his church, the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan, and stays active in local and statewide politics.
